News — I'm moving to Canberra!
Very soon I'm moving to the Artificial Intelligence group in the College of Engineering and Computer Science at the Australian National University. I'll have a new web site up soon.
For a short while longer I'm still a postdoctoral research fellow in the Complex Intelligent Systems group in the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies at Swinburne University of Technology.
My current research concerns differential evolution, an unusual entry in the stable of nature-inspired optimisation heuristics. I have previously worked on the development of a semantic search tool for aerospace engineering (part of the Whole of Life Engineering project under the AutoCRC), as well as investigating large-scale data visualisation techniques and, separately, tools for the analysis of coincidences for use by the Australian Government.
